I think I'll sell my Ruger African 375 R. which I bought some time back from a top end, nationally known gun dealer. The dealer said it was made special order for a Ruger executive. On the original box, the label in caps reads " HOLD FOR DAVE TILDEN." I paid extra $$$ for it because, IMO, the stock is knock dead gorgeous. It has no muzzle brake. It has rings-no scope. I never shot or carried it hunting. I have five boxes of Hornady ammo that go with it. I understand that a plain Jane sells new for about $900-1000. I am wondering if $1500 with the ammo is about right for my rifle? (i.e., about +300 for wood and $250 for ammo??). I cannot post pix but can email them. Thanks!

In my opinion - 1. Pretty wood does sell guns. 2. Who ordered it or owned prior to you is not important unless some extremely well known celebrity in the entertainment world. If it was owned by Jim Shockey or Craig Boddington, that adds zero value for me. Any celebrity ownership would need to be authenticated. 3. Buyers on AR are very savvy and $ aware. They know to the penny what that gun is worth and what the ammo is worth. So, price it accordingly. Good luck.
