I would get a McMillan for that caliber I reckon, there the best composite stocks around........just to be safe !!

I would call Hogue and ask if they feel its OK for that caliber. I bet they give an honest answer. My gut feeling is you need the one with the bedding block, not just pillars. "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

McMillan would be the best, but H&S precision makes one that would work fine for less money and weight.Plus it has the bedding block built in. Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war; That this foul deed shall smell above the earth With carrion men, groaning for burial.

I have my one of my 375's in a hogue without the bedding block and it does just fine. For a 416 I would use the Hogue with a bedding block. I'm not much on syn stocks, but I do like the Hogue stocks, its a good stock for the money. Billy, High in the shoulder (we band of bubbas)
