400 Niedner, Anyone have one, just fishing to see if there are any out there? The cartridge was introduced in 1940 by the Niedner Rifle Corporation. It is based on the .35 Newton case necked up using a 300-grain .411" bullet at 2700fps. After the war there was no NRCorp to speak of and the .400 Niedner was never reintroduced by anyone so they are not often found.

@Michael

Why you don't try the 450/400 2 1/8 in aka 10,3x60R? This cartridge has almost the same bullet size!

Good shooting and good hunting

Collani,

Thanks but I’m trying to locate original rifles chambered in the .400 Niedner cartridge for a research project I’m working on.

Mr. Petrov,

I see that Brownells is carrying your book, unless I am mistaken. Congratulations!

Michael….Please,

Thanks, I normally order from Brownell’s online so don’t get a catalog but I understand that they are carrying it. The best part of having the book published is all the new and interesting information that’s flowing in.
