I need help! This may have already been discussed at one time, but I'm fairly new here.

I'm having trouble finding Low mount rings for my CZ 550's. Ihad some Lynx (by B-Square) low rings but......I screwed up and over tightened them and broke the base clamps.

I checked with Brownells and they no longer have them.

Is there any other brand out there that any of you have experience with, good or bad?

Also price and vendor info.

Thanks for your help

I have used Warne QDs on my 458 Lott. They just slide sraight on to the rails on the action and the rear mount has a stop on it.

They only come in Medium as I suspect their lows would not give sufficient bolt clearance.

The mounts are strong but if you go with them, get then lapped - I found mine were putting pressure on the scope and it was difficult to turn the "variable" adjustment ring.

If you have DG caliber CZs I can reccomed these rings.

MLG is correct about the Warnes.
I have one set of Warne QD-lever Low rings for CZ 550 Mag/BRNO ZKK 602, now discontinued by the manufacturer.

They are so low that the only scope I can use them with is a Leupold 2.5x which has a small occular bell. With any other scope I have, you cannot get the bolt handle past the eyepiece of the scope with rings that low.

The Warne Mediums or Talley Mediums may be a bit lower than the standard CZ factory rings, not much. But you gotta have them at least that high to be able to open and close the bolt action with most scopes.

The CZ has integral bases that are very low in themselves, compared to add-on bases, so the rings are not as "badly high" as they look on a CZ.

I find the standard CZ factory ring just fine for all scopes that I might use on a big bore, ditto the Warne and Talley medium heights.

I have medium Warne QDs on both my CZ550s. Both have Leupold 1.5x5 Vari-X IIIs. This combo works fine for me, YMMV.

How about the Low Talley 1" rings on the cz550?

Do they also interfere with the bolt when using a Leupols VX-III 1.5-5...?

Regards,
Dave
