I picked up one of these Whitworths a couple months ago to have a nice blued and wood375 to go with my Winchester stainless one. Well that Whitworth is one sweet rifle! It is consistent and very accurate. I plan on using it this coming fall instead of the stainless plastic one but I don't want to tear up the nice wood stock it currently has. Anybody know of a good sythetic made for these Whitworths? I think I 've also read that the safety can be changed to the three postion style? Thanks for any info. I have hunted all over Alaska with a wood stocked rifle, but if I were you I'd just use my other one that is stainless and plastic...Sounds like to me you bought a gun you don't need...but remember that wood can always be refinished at some point. your thought process eludes me, but if it suits you thats all that counts..Any Mauser or FN plastic drop in will fit your gun close enough to glass... | |||
