| Put a trigger shoe on it and call it good? The CZ's are set trigger format IIRC and not flimsy. If your 'smith adjusts the pull down to about 3 pounds or so, the set function is defeated (but I didn't like or want it anyway).

| If you are a seriuos shooter,you need a new trigger,a Timney,installed by a good smith. |

| With my CZ 458 Lott I have the set trigger set up. But I don't use it and shooting it is no problem. I measured it and If I recall without using the set trigger it is 3 lbs with it its 1.5 lbs. Thats way to light for my Lott. |

| AHR makes a good trigger for the CZ

| I second the trigger shoe addition. Did this to my 550FS in 9.3 and it helped my shooting a great deal. I think the problem is not the trigger it's self but the smallish feel when placing the trigger finger. I have found no problem with the "function" of the CZ trigger and the "shoe" makes it feel just right.

| yzm19,
the Cape Buffalo I shot in December did not mind my using a CZ, and making proper use of that flimsy set trigger either. He just fell down and was dead a couple minutes later. Some prefer deactivating the factory trigger, some advocate replacing it with a Timney; but there is nothing wrong with it "as issue". I have four of them, and they all work just fine.

| Mine all work also, but this next one will see experimentation concerning the trigger. Rodney.

| One can shoot cape buff with a set trigger. He can even shoot hundreds. However,if there is ever a single moment in his hunting lifetime when the shot had to be made then,in a tight circumstance, and he wanted everything in his favor,a more common or standard trigger pull is best.I've hunted with a set trigger for a few years.I've also done alot of target shooting with a really heavy trigger and then switched to normal pulls. The trigger finger should act like it doesn't know what kind of let-off it will encounter. |

| My CZ 9.3X62 has one of the best triggers of all my rifles. Very clean at about 2.5#'s; the set function is easily disabled. |

Agreed. All of mine have the AHR single stage trigger, and they all break like the proverbial thin glass rod.

| The CZ 550 trigger is really weak and would require replacement. |
