Avidhunter,

Have you considered the 45's--Ackley, Dakota, Rigby? They hit a bit harder on both ends!

Good Hunting,

YO !
SO you aren't especially recoil-sensitive,,,,hmmm,,let's see.A .475 L.T.D,,the early .585 Nyati,,with the same cartridge necked to .475 dia, to push 500 grainers 3100 fps !
Of course without muzzle brake !
If that's nothing to you,try the .600 OK.
This is the same case as used with the .585 Nyati but are bored up to accept 900 grainers,,and i believe this case is longer,,so deal with 900 grainers to 2400 fps and more.I think that will get your attention.
As a last solution you should get your self a 4-bore,,or the 2-bore singelshot rifle. The 2-bore shooting a lead ball of 3550 grains to the velocity of 1500 fps !That would certainly be something for Jackass on MTV to tape,he,he.
By the way ,tell me about yor ballistics (.416BmG)

Per577, i reload them with 233 grains of h50bmg powder, with cci #35 primers all underneath a 400 grain partition, i get about 3500 fps and i am sighted in for 500 yards. I shoot targets at 1000 yards and the hold over very much. I have shot coyotes with it nd plan to use it for buffalo and elaphent in africa and kodiak bears in alaska. I use a barret action on a beutiful wood stock built by a local gunsmith, with a 27 1/2 inch lilja barrel. Its fun.

I will let you try my 585 NYATI or the .600 RGB/overkill at full tilt boogie if you like! I only ask to be able to video the event. I'm always looking for a real recoil resistant assistant! I'm running low on them right now.-Rob

damnit, i was gonna do that. take a 50BMG down to .404. even had a name for it. i was going to call it the "Error .404".

guess i dont have to do that now, one less thing to worry about.
