FYI, I have no involvement We were at the Cabella's store in LaVista, NE Thursady evening and they had a .425 in the Gun Room that might be of some interest to someone. Mauser 98, Two position Mod 70 type safety, unaltered bolt, Express sights (3 down + standing if I remember correctly) on a 1/4 rib. Rib isn't a perfect fit on barrel, but not bad. Barrel marked Apex, but whether they did the whole job or not I couldn't determine 23-24". It has been redone at some time as some surface pits are blued over. Forget details of front sight. Stock is useable, nothing special, hinged floor plate, engraved (forget details of what.) I think it was $1299, I questioned them about feeding, they know nothing and have no dummy shells and said they'd be fired if they put a live round in it, which they don't have either. 30 day warranty for function. They didn't know the 425 WR had feeding problems if not set up right. I checked the web site and it's not on there If any one can use the info, have at it. | ||
