Hey guys, Aug 9 shoot in Hamilton. We will have the normal course of fire with jugs and poster targets but will add two events from the Australian Big Game shoot. The Charging Animal is 2 shots each at 75yd, 50yd and 25yd in a total of 35 seconds. Stopping Double is 2 shots at 50yd slow fire, then 4 shots at 50yd in 16 sec and 4 shots at 25yd in 16 seconds. Since this is a big bore event, all rifles must be group 2 or 3. The Australian events use the 50m international pistol target.

Sounds good, see you there

See you there! I still have jugs left if you need me to bring some more.

Although I'm only a couple of hours from the shoot, I've never attended. It's called a Big Bore Shoot. Does anyone routinely show up with muzzleloading Big Bore rifles or .54-caliber Sharps cap locks? These obviously meet the shoot's title, but are they in the spirit?

All good

Naphtali, The spirit of the event is safari/dangerous game riles and all stages require multiple shots. We have black powder ctg guns show up but muzzle loaders would take too much time for the reload. You could fire one shot on each stage. You might offer to buy or provide ammo and borrow someone's gun. Come on down. John Collatti, from Seely, shoots with us every year.

Jay, I have enough jugs for 16 shooters. I don't have pre-registration so I don't know how many will be there. More jugs would not hurt if they can fit in your car. Don't drive the truck just to haul jugs. thanks

Hell of a shoot Dan.
Great weather and great shoot.
Great bunch of guys.
Bit hurting, but one of the best Sundays of this year.
Thanks Dan.

We had 13 shooters, many different types of rifles/calibers, and we had a good time. Thanks for coming guys and we'll see you next year.
