If anyone has a Tradewinds Industries catalog from the late 1960's I would like to buy it or have a copy of the info on the Brevex action please. I have the info from DeHass book Bolt Action Rifle. I would just like to have the old Tradewinds catalog showing the action and what it cost then. Better tomorrows, Harry 817 267 3700 You can borrow money but you can not borrow time. It is in Buxton's Guide To Foreign Firearms also has what you want. I thought I had a copy, but cannot find it. As I recall it was published in about '62. The Brevex barrelled action was liosted at about $116.95, could have been as high as $126.95, but don't think so. Should have brought all my little paychecks would have allowed! Dirt cheap anyway, but back then hardly anybody wanted as .416 Rigby. Hell, I can remember when I showed people my .416 rigby that Tom burgess fixed up for me they would say, "what's that?" And that was in the early '70's. Short of making your own ammo out of .460's or .378's which is what I did, ammo didn't exist. Now and then you could get a box of 10 that Norma made for Rigby. I managed to get one box sometime or another before 1980 rolled around. Nostalga rolls! Just ran a search, Ray Riling has the Buxton book for 30$, date is '63 not the '62 I stated above Cape Outfitters has reprints for $22 and yoau can probably get a dealer discount. Saw other used ones cheaper, just do a search in Yahoo or Google for the title and you'll find them. | |||
