I like the Pachmayr Decelerator and the Kick-eeze. The Kick-Eeze is a little softer material. Also, check out the new pads by Limbsaver www.limbsaver.com. I recently saw some, and they looked good, but I haven't shot a gun with one on yet.

The English-made "Absorb-All" is my favourite sorbothane pad. I've never been able to find a red one though, have had to make do with brown.

I asked the same question earlier and got the advice to get the Pachmayr F990 tripple X magnum pad, with I did. It was too expensive but I am really pleased with the way it delivers the recoil on my 450 Rigby.

I would recomend it for any heavy recoiling rifle.

I prefer the Silver or its copies such as London Guns, they are pretty hard but cover with leather nicely..Besides all a recoil pad does is give the gun a 1" running start at your shoulder..That's not original, I plagerized Jack Belk on that one. I do agree.
