Guys, I want to replace the front sight on my Ruger 416, with a NECG. Was looking in Midway catalog(2006 page 691),which one is same height as the factory one on it? I don't know the proper way to measure the one on it. Thanks

Call Midway ask to talk to tech support. The replacement blade(s) are measured from the base of the insert to the top. This does NOT include the barrel mount "ramp". BTW, the Brownells catalog, 2006 pg.322, explains this and how to figure what the new blade height should be. hope this helps DRSS member Constant change is here to stay.

First you must take the front site out and measure it with calipers. You measure from the bottom of the base to the top of the bead. If the gun was shooting right for you with this site then just order another in the same height. If your rifle was shooting high or low you must order a lower or higher site. The chart on page 322 in the Brownells catalog gives you all the different corrections. Maineguide
