Folks, My .500 A2 is built on a stiller tac .338 I use PTG bottom metal (rem 700) with weatherby MK 5 internal centre feed style set up made by watts. The PTG metal does not have a coffin style floor plate so only two down but can't get the bolt over the top of the second round. Essentially it's a 2 shot rifle. PTG make canoe bottom metal which would solve that problem, but I'm thinking I'd like to go for greater capacity. A .500 a2 round fits into an AI .338 mag except for these little triangle metal tabs at the front a pointed .338 bullet slips between them and it guides the round up. Obviously a .510 projectile is to fat for the nose to fit through these bits but otherwise they just fit the mag, 5 A2 shells without projectiles nicely. There are a few brands anyone know which might work best ? Watts Seekins Badger ?? Cheers pc | ||
