I have them on one rifle and they are nice. I understand that they are a bear to install, but I did not do it myself.

I've had them on my Norma mag for 20yrs and they install rather easy as well. They are hell for stout!

I bought a pair several years ago. Very difficult to install with the caps. Didn't like the looks and decided to return them. When I called I think it was the owner I talked to, Gawd what a dick! Mad After some B.S return fee I got my money back.

It has been about 15 years or so but I think I mixed the hunter and custum (is that how they spell it?) rings/bases. Today I would probably get the high-end and have a matte finish on them if they are not that way already.

They come in a gloss finish (which I wouldn't want). Other finishes cost 50%extra. I thought that sounded pretty high.

I have sets on a M70 and 3 Mausers. They can be trickey to install and can scratch the scope tube if you aren't careful but are strong and look nice once they are on. The lower grade versions have a basic finish, the highest grade has a high polish. The owner does give alot to the NRA.

You can also buy them in the white to rust blue yourself. FWIW, it's one of the few US rings made to fit 26 MM scopes.

If you don't mind spending a few dollars more, get the ones with the little screw that holds the two ring halves together. It's located in the stub and doesn't show when mounted in the bases. It makes installaton much easier.

I put them on my Sako 75 and they are hell for
stout (300RUM) I e-mailed them all the dimensions
on my rifle and scope (Kahles 3x12x56) and they sent
perfect height and fit.
A person wants to read the directions very closely
especialaly on dove tail type mounts where you
might have to open up the bases to get them to
slide on to the dovetails .
I have been really happy with them.
And they are very pretty!

I have conetrols on 6 or so rifles ^ they are the best made but hard to install. a few drinks before starting helps.. they get easier after a few sets. I usually put masking tape over the cap & rings to make it easier to put on.

I have them on a bunch of rifles. They're the best I've ever used. I never really thought they were were that hard to install but I guess you could say they're a lot more difficult than other rings.

They're really strong and very slick looking. The three grades are basically how much work you want to pay for in the finishing process (rounding and polishing). I've always had great customer service from them.

None of their products are cheap but I'm sure they're a pain to manufacture because the tolerances are MUCH tighter than any other rings.

Kyler
