Would like to ask your experience/findings on the performance of .375cal 350WL compared to .416cal 350tsx.
basically interested in their comparitive performance&penetration, when used on Big bears and Buff out to about 100yd.

Both sound like big medicine for bears.

The 350 grain TSX will probably blow off its front end like our host Saeeds many 300 grain 375's and have more penetration due to much less frontal area.

The 375 Woody at relatively low velocity for a 375 with alot of SD will probably retain its FA and have less penetration.

Ive only shot water buckets but thats an educated guess.

Either one will punch a hole through a buffalo on a broadside shot. I doubt if you could determine which one is best, I couldn't. Either will reach the vitals on a going away shot unless heavy bone is encountered, in which case the TSX might be the winner but sorely mashed up.

That said, if given a choice today, I'd just flip a coin..and then pick a 450 gr. Woodleigh in the .416!

.....IMNSHO .. a 350 gr .416 dia TSX at 2600-2650 fps is alot more dramatic on a bear than a 350 gr 375 bullet @ 2400 fps ... It is flatter shooting and works well from any angle ... If all I could use to hunt anything with in the world was one load it wound be the 416 Rem mag w/ 350 gr TSX bullets @ 2600 fps ... ..... That load just isn,t limited by anything , shy of truly long range ......
