I am looking for some dies for a .450 Rigby and have narrowed it down to RCBS or CH-4D. Does anyone have experience with the CH-4D dies on big bores, or better yet on the .450 Rigby? Will these dies fit my RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme?

Thanks

I have a multi-die set for the .470 Capstick (includes expanders for necking up from .375 to .400, .400 to .458, .458 to .475), and Dave has fixed every little issue with them with both accuracy and alacrity.

I would not hesitate to buy from CH4D again in the future.

Also, Dave will have those dies either in stock or out the door in a day or two.

X2

They ain't pretty but, they work and they're cheaper, in the odd calibers, than anyone else's.

I have CH dies for the 375 H&H flanged mag, 404 Jeffery, and 500 Jeffery. They work just fine and are much cheaper than RCBS. Yes, the 450 Rigby dies will fit your press.

Good hunting,

I ordered them directly from Redding 1-607-753-3331

I can't remember what the price was, but I remember it seemed reasonable at the time.

CH4D provided the dies for my .35 Newton, and I found them to be very good. I had some issues with the seating stem marring the nose of bullets and they send me several versions with different profiles to try and get the proper fit. Good people and a good experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

I too prefer Redding dies ... but have used CH4D dies. Had to clean them up a little by spinning the seating die in a lathe and polishing the junk out of the crimping area.

They've worked fine since.

My 9.3x64 dies are CH4D. I will be ordering 10.75x68 dies from them when my rifle is ready. No problems.
