Was wondering what three postion safety AHR uses on their rifle conversions? Are there any other 3 position safeties that would work? Gentry? Any other parts required? I know this is a gunsmith job...just wondering what kind of work/parts/mods are involved. Thanks...

Used to be Wisner's, I think. Now it may be LaPour's. I'm sure that others will correct me if I'm wrong. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

If I' m not mistaken, they make their own. I sent them my BRNO ZKK-602 and they made one for me and it works perfectly. "I ask, sir, what is the Militia? It is the whole people. I'm told it is their own design. LaPour makes one too. Their proprietary trigger is nice, too. It came along before Timney so I haven't had a chance to try a Timney. "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

so, is it de rigeur to send a 550 to AHR? It appears CZ will be taking deposits for LH 375s soon (so I am told by CZ). I think their factory bolt shroud is an absolute abomination although I enjoyed the set trigger feature on the rifles I have shot (most notably a 9.3 x 62 over holiday). also, I will switch the bolt handle to one made by half moon. so, for those of you who have done so, does the rifle come back better off than when you sent it?

I installed a new bolt handle on the CZ, the original is an abomination. While in the shop I also installed a Lapour three position one. It worked out very nice. Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild

Jim, could you post a pic of your bolt handle? NRA Life Member, Band of Bubbas Charter Member, PGCA, DRSS. Shoot & hunt with vintage classics.

Look at the photos of my dad's 585AHR in the following thread: 585AHR This rifle is built on the CZ action with all of AHR's mods to the bolt handle (sans engraving) and the safety. They really do beautiful work. Paul NRA Lifer; DSC Lifer; SCI member; DRSS; AR member since November 9 2003 Don't Save the best for last, the smile for later or the "Thanks" for tomorow
