Is anyone familiar with the 460 G+A cartridge? A fellow left me one to chronograph some loads. It's a rechambered #1 458 cal. looks like a 404 case. Loads are 500gr. bullets with 4064 and 4350 powder. Any thoughts.Mark

If you scroll to the right, near the top of the page you can click on the word "search". Type in "460 G&A" in the Big Bores forum. There is a thread there with lots of information. The 460 G&A Special cartridge was developed by Tom Siatos at Guns & Ammo. It is capable of 2400 f.p.s. muzzle velocities, and it is based on the Jeffrey case. Some loads are posted on that other thread.

I think it is a very well designed caliber that beats the 458 lott by a little..It would be my choice if I shot 45 caliber.
