Howdy,
A local gun emporium has a Ruger #1 Tropical rifle in .375 H&H that I am considering. It looks new but the metal has a matte finish on it. Is this correct for the Tropical rifle? I have seen others that are bright blue, but this one appears to have been bead blasted then blued, much like my Winchester Safari Express. Does anyone know if this finish was ever offerd by Ruger?

Jeff...I'm pretty familiar with the #1's, but don't ever remember a matte finish being offered. Most likely, it's a custom addition.
