For some reason, everyone who discovers the above clip posts it here. The .950JDJ was discussed here more than ten years ago. I shot the one JD Jones built back in 1997. George

And with the muzzle brake divide the felt recoil in half, it looks like a 20 lb rifle so divide it in half again. Less recoil than a 11 lb 500 Jeffery or a 9 lb 458 Lott unbraked Regards, Chuck "There's a saying in prize fighting, everyone's got a plan until they get hit" Michael Douglas "The Ghost And The Darkness"

Of the actual 6 guns built in the 950 JDJ, one weighed about 40 lbs and from the video of the guys shooting it, it knocked the shit out of them. The other 5 guns had a weight of about 85 lbs. J. D. said the first one was built way too lite. McMillan would not build anymore actions for it after the first 6. Used to be bigdoggy700 with 929 posts . Wow, if it had 215 ft lbs of recoil with a 40 lb gun and a brake that's twice my limit. Right around 100 ft lbs (unbraked) is where I call uncle. Regards, Chuck "There's a saying in prize fighting, everyone's got a plan until they get hit" Michael Douglas "The Ghost And The Darkness"
