Marc Jamison, Owner, was running some .505 Gibbs brass today.

I expect they will be shipping it out in a week or two.

$100 + $6 shipping for 100 pieces of .505 Gibbs brass, from the makers of the .408 Cheyenne Tactical hard head brass. Amazing.

Get it before the introductory prices go up. thumb

good run of quality stuff.I got a 100 coming
that will be left long and straight for
wildcatting.Basic straight case & no trimming
for length. This is thr first major run
he has made, after Cheytac cases.Ed.

Ed,
Good to hear you got your own special batch ... any headstamp on yours?

Marc said he ran some with one headstamp, then decided to change to different lettering for the rest of the batch ... first run collector headstamps, versions one and two. thumb

RIP Mine won't have a headstamp, as I will be
experimenting with 3 different caliber ideas.
I will be putting a belt on them.Ed.

Dear hubel458

Just idle curiosity -- how DOES one add a belt? Always wondered about that!

jpb--Two ways-bad way is to push a belt on with a 40 ton press and swages.bad because it
crimps the radius in bottom corner of the case.

I do it on cases witht thick bases and large radius in corner, by starting the step of the belt with a cutter on my case spinner lathe.
This step is angled out and then I swage case
to size to make a straight side on the case
and set case diameter ahead of the belt.
Here is picture of different cases sectioned
that we put belts on..Ed

And here is pic of a bmg case going tkrough
the steps from original to my 700HE.Last step is to either firefom or use expanders to
get case blown out.Second case the base is all swaged and to right size and belt done.
The 06 case is there for comparison.Ed
