After all the debate about this cartridge, I did a bit of research and decided to have Kevin Weaver of Weaver Rifles in Colorado build me an all-weather .375 Ruger. I am using a Winchester M70 Pre-64 standard action, stainless Lilja 24" barrel #4 contour with NECG sights and a barrel band swivel cerakoted for durability. I am dropping it into a synthetic stock Kevin uses and it will hold 3 down with one up the spout. 14' LOP and a two pound trigger. The stock will be granite brown and the action and barrel flat black. We discussed making this baby feed and the importance of that along with reasonable accuracy... she should be a classic for harsher climes in Alaska and Africa! I'll post pictures when I get her back. On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died. Hi Bwan... If you don't mind me asking what do you think your new custom rifle is going to set you back? I am having a 338 RUM built, only using a Rem 700 SS action, 26 in SS #4 Fluted Shillen barrel, McMillan stock, removable muzzle break. I am builing it for future Alaska hunt. Regards... Jim P.
