I need some suggestions for QD rings for my .416 Rigby.

I'm not too concerned about repeatability. My main concern besides ability to withstand recoil is that they come off quick with no tools, just in case. I don't anticipate or desire to take the scope on and off frequently. It's a just in case thing.

Thanks,

Mike

I tried millet 30mm on my 416, it broke the back ring ( had it overtighted because of movement under recoil). Changed out to warne QD's and no problems.

TRy either Warne or Talley website. They both make them for CZ550s

I wish Talley would make a 30mm set.

LONGBOB...have you ever tried "Plumber's Tape?" Down here in San Antonio, we call these "Mexican Variable Diameter Rings." One size fits all.

Send me that old dog Whelen you own and I'll pick you up a couple of sets of these wonderful rings.

Fair enough?

Your friend and mine - Jim

I'm going to have them bury me with that Whelen. So when you take it, you end up committing at least 2 crimes.

Don't think I won't dig you up, Longbob! You devil. You know how I need that gun!

I hope every shot you fire with it is a 1/4 inch low.

Thanks gents! I appreciate the pic safari hunter.

I'll order up a set of the Warnes tomorrow from Brownells. I definitely want qd rings with levers not a coin slot. I figure if I need em off fast the levers are the way to go.

Looks like its a Warne & CZ week for me, gonna get a set of their 7.3 rings for my new cz 452. Also just got a cz 527 in 7,62x39. Gonna wring that one out at the range today! Gotta love bonuses.
