I stopped by a little gun shop today just to kill a few minutes and spotted this rifle on the used gun rack. When I asked what it was, the guy said it was an Interarms mauser. When I asked to look at it, it had Whitworth clearly engraved on the top and side of the receiver and on the recoil pad. It had the express sights with two folding leafs and barrel band for the front swivel. The bolt face does not have a mark on it nor do the locking lugs. The barrel crown is blue all the way to the rifling and actually looked like a little brownish grease in the end of the muzzle. The gentleman that originally bought it had told them he had kept it in the safe all these years and never even bought shells for it..... I thought $475 was a fair price for that Interarms mauser.

Ed,

If you didn't buy it you should have.

Great deal for a good rifle. He could have sold it for more than twice that price.

Yes, it did come home with me even though I already own two Winchester 70's in 375H&H.

There ia no such thing as having too many .375's, that just don't happen

Even the rocks don't last forever.
