I'm thinking they used this particuliar colored stock because they had too many of them in stock and thought the new guide gun would be popular enough that it would sell well despite the ugly stock on it.

I believe they are targeting the Hummer H3 crowd. If it's ugly, it must be really tough. Therefore I need it.

Spray paint it a different color.

A definite way to change it, whereas, if they had used a simpler laminate, I think it would have gained a higher approval rating. One other thing, not made in .416R or left-hand.

Is the 375 ruger the heaviest caliber it comes in? If so, it's probably only meant at this time to be a north american guide gun.
