Anyone having experience with this scope on large bore rifle application. I have ordered one for my Ruger Hawkeye African in 375 Ruger. I was deciding between Burris Euro Diamond and Zeiss Conquest in similar power. Decided on Nikon based on 4.1-4.0 inch eye relieve.

I have one of these on my lightweight .308 and love it. I'm considering putting it on my .375 Ruger Alaskan that I just picked up but am going to try a scope I already have first. It's a Pentax 0-4x Lightseeker with 5" of eye relief. Any thoughts on this? -+-+- "If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun." - The Dalai Lama

I have one on a 9.3x62 and it has held up well. It is pretty much an equal optically to my Conquests, but the reticle is not up to the standards of the etched reticle on the Zeiss. I have used the Zeiss on my .375, no problem with eye relief. A shot not taken is always a miss

I have this scope on the Ruger RSM's in both 375HH and 458Lott. Both work fine and have done so for quite a while now and couple hundred rounds in both. I see no advantage to the Leupold's over these scopes at this time. How long will they last?, time will tell. On a service note, one of the scopes, have two of them, had a poorly threaded cap for wind/elevation drum and called the mfg. and within a couple days had two new ones in the mail. Small thing, but they did respond quickly.

I moved my 1-4x24 Kahles scope (bastards have gone through the roof!) from my .404 Jeffery to my .458 Lott and replaced it with one of the Nikon Monarch Gold's 1.5-6x42. I really like it and am thinking about buying another just to keep around for "future" big bores. Very clear scope. Too bad they don't make a 1-4x20 in this scope.

I'd also love to see this scope in 1-4x. -+-+- "If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun." - The Dalai Lama
