Jeffe and Jeff Jr. and I met up at Carter's Country shooting range yesterday. Jeffe was very helpful getting my Whitworth shooting on paper. We ended up having to shim the rear ring to get it shooting centered, unfortunately using up all the vertical adjustment on the Leupold 2x7. I think I'll need to get the rings and bases back to Talley to the base heights changed to get this rig shooting right. Jeffe put 5 rounds of his 500 Jeffrey in a single ragged hole at 50 yards, very impressive shooting! His son was popping of 458's very competently and shooting the 500 also without a minutes worry. I took a few shots and found the 500 manageable. You sure know it went off! Very nice set up on an Enfield and very nice workmanship for a hobbyist gunsmith. After the 500, Jeffe's 376 felt like a 22. I encourged Jeffe to take a picture of the target to post. OK Jeffe, let's see it. Thaks again for your help on the Whitworth. Bob

Bob, thanks tons... we enoyed the day, as well... nothing like a little arkansas engineering, is there? here's the target... last 5, after adjustment, i think went in the bull.. it's a big ole bull, but this is 50 yards off hand itty bitty holes are #7.5 shot... screwing around with my new stoeger coach gun far right, unadjusted sight far left over adjusted high, definate pull, and called "bad shot" the rest, well, i think i am starting to settle down jeffe [ 11-18-2003, 03:00: Message edited by: jeffeosso ]
