It appears the 416 Ruger will be next for the company. Since I know little of big bore rifles compared to many of our members I have no idea if this is a good thing or not with the other 416 and kin calibers out there. However, for those of you in the know does it appear the 375 Ruger has gained enough traction that it will stick around and perhaps even supplant the 375 H&H?

I think the Ruger 375 is here to stay, but at the same time, I don't think any 375 will ever make the H&H obsolete. It just works. It can be built on a standard magnum action with some work and it's been doing it for 100 years. The H&H is still and always will be king, IMO. I'm not the most knowledgable big-bore guy by any stretch, but I read and listen. David

It's not likely, just as nothing has supplanted the .30-06. George

It's not a 404jeffery, but it will do the same job. As far as any cartridge supplanting the 375h&h, never gonna happen. People still buy 300winmags even though we have the 300wsm. Granted, the 300h&h has gone bye. bye, but still a sought after round in the M70. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!
