Use the 'find' button above to search for this chambering; there have been several discussions about it in the past.

African PH Karl Stumpfe uses one built on a Vektor action. About the same as a 450 Dakota...around 2,450 fps with a 500gr bullet.

Jam:

I have a 450 Dakota. Fantastic rifle. Wayne at American Hunting rifles built if for me. If you want a beautiful custom 450 Rigby for not too much money, give Wayne a call. I shoot 450 grain TSXs out of mine at 2400 fps with no problem. If I was doing it again, I would go with the Rigby and put a removable brake on it. They do churn up some pretty good recoil.

I intend to send my Lott to AHR for rechambering to .450 Rigby, as soon as I finish up a few more projects.

To my way of thinking, it's the king of the .45s.

That'll juice it up a bit! Jim Kobe is stocking a Waffenfabrik Hein for me in 450 Dakota, and adding a quarter rib, barrel band, etc. Should be done pretty soon.

LOLOLOL.... Biebs, give the 450 grain TSXs a try. I can help you with load data if you need some.

P.S. I told Paul not to let you shoot his 600 so you would buy another .577 or 600 Wink
