Need 458 Win Mag Follower for 1917 Enfield
Any recommendations? Would a Winchester or Remington 458 wm follower work?

Thanks

I've gone around for years what to do with my Enfields, so decided to go frugal. Rebore one to a 35 Whelen (see my post on medium bores) and then do one as a 458 win mag (nothing fancy like a 458 Lott or Rigby). And then put them both in laminate stocks.

The Weatherby Mark V follower for 378 or 460 drops right in, at least on a Remington M-30 458 Lott.

I have a pre-64 Winchester Model 70 .458 follower in my Springfield actioned .458, and it works like a charm.

I think the existing Follower should work for a .458, It did on my 404 Jefferys and its about as fail proof and any rifle I have owned..I can't jam it with any of the rounds I have tried including flat nose solids.???? Dennis Olson did the metal work and had it rebored for me. Mine is a Rem 30-S, so it should be the same.
