I am sure several of you read my post a couple weeks ago where the stock on my CZ 550 American Safari 458 Win Mag busted and splintered through the mag box area on the 1st shot after doing a complete overhaul and bedding job on the stock. I had been hoping to find a nice take off to buy but did not have much luck going that route. But thanks to JudgeG and Bitterroot I came home from my post deployment leave last night to a very nice surprise. Bitterroot had sent me a VERY nice replacement stock for my rifle - far nicer than the stock that I had broken. Bitterroot claims it was thanks to JudgeG and JudgeG claims it was all Bitterroot. Either way they are both very generous and true gentlemen in every way. I want to take this chance to publicly thank them for their kindness and generosity. I know my humble thanks do not come close to repaying their act, but I offer it in the hopes that it conveys how much I truly appreciate them both. Thank you. William, The judge and bitterroot are obviously deserving of commendment. But so are you. Thanks for your service to our country. I'm quite certain that has a lot to do with your pleasant surprise and it should. I'm pretty sure JudgeG is a vet himself, but not sure about bitterroot. Either way, both very generous and gracious individuals. Proud to say they are acquaintances, and the same goes for you. Welcome home, David Walker

When my now-grown daughter was three, one evening she what eating supper at the bar in the kitchen. The stool upon which she sat had a leather seat. I was at the stove stirring something or another and I heard this magnified (from the leather seat) RRrrriiiipppppp! Much louder a fart than you would have expected from a sweet little just post-toddler. I spun around (about to bust a gut laughing) and trying to keep a straight face, asked her, "What do you say when you do that?" She looked very pensive for a second, deep in thought and then raised her hand with her index finger extended in an expression of delight and said, "Waddn't Me!".... Well, it "Waddn't Me!" this time. Let me set the record straight. I bought a "take-off" stock for AHR Custom Rifles a couple of years ago to use for a project that never happened. I've known and M1Tanker for a while on this site and have followed his career in the Army. He is my kind of fellow. A couple of years ago, on a NCO's salary, he sponsered a party for a whole company of folks from a reserve unit from his home town while they were training for deployment (Iraq) at his (Tanker's) duty station, kegs, steaks on the grill, the works! Anyway, when I learned he lost his stock for his rifle (that he had worked so long and hard upon), I decided to clean up my "stuff" and send him something gathering dust. That deserves no praise. When I looked for the darn stock, I couldn't find it, so I called AHR and attempted to buy one to send to Tanker. Bitterroot wouldn't hear of it and selected one from a CZ action that was going to get another stock and sent it to Tanker gratis.. even paid shipping. Heck, I may deserve a big whoopee for making a phone call, but Bitterroot is the guy who deserves our thanks and very sincere consideration when we are looking for a pretty good looking and dependable dangerous game rifle. My hat is off to a fine guy and gun maker! Semper Fi to Tanker and Bitterroot. JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

M1Tanker, Thank You for your service! And enjoy your new shooter! And thanks JudgeG and Bitterroot for being who you are.
