magnum FN action

i have a 300 rem ultra mag made on a magnum FN action. I bought the gun from a guy that needed cash. the only problem is that it will only hols 2 rounds. do you think someone can fix the magazine to hold more rounds i could only find expensive drop mag. If fixable what should i rebarrel to. thanks

Sunnyhill bottom metal will work for you just fine, but it's not cheap (but a fair price for what you get).

What game will you hunt with it?

If it's really big game, go with the 500 Jeffery.

Otherwise you can't go wrong with the 404 Jeffery.

You are looking at 600$ for MAGNUM Mauser bottom metal, but it would hold more than 2 ittybitty rum cases... i hope it's a standard action, recut for a RUM ..

heck, i get 3 in my 458 ARs ...

can rebarrel to nearly anything, and as garrett said, the 404 is a good choice..

or 375 rum

thanks i have a 300 rum already and a american hunting rifle in 404 i am taking to cameroon in jan I probably would sell it ti someone that knew what they were doing. i like the gun i have several fn actions and they are nice if you are interested let me know i am leaving jan 1st for africa but would be glad to let you look it over
