I would however get your smith to bed it and add cross bolts infron & behind the mag box....I have a hogs back cz550 .458 winnie coverted to the lott and was reccomended by folks on this board to have it done.

If that is what he wrote, WHY was this thread started??? The premise of this entire thread was that this Mr. Bekker wrote an article stating that the Mauser was NOT strong enough for the 458 Lott.
