This is an attempt to display a picture. It's my CZ 416 Rigby IF it displays that is if not it's probably the big red 'X'. SCI Life Member NRA Patron Life Member DRSS

Whats the story on the rifle?? I would like to buy one of the new CZ's in .416 Rigby but have read more bad reports on bad stocks and poor workmanship than I care for. I've decided to get one of the laminates , get it properly bedded and then go from there. Any input?? FN in MT 'I'm tryin' to think, but nothin' happens"! Curly Howard Definitive Stooge

The stock is a Brockman drop-in unfinished. He left off the front swivel as I used a barrel band and left off pad as I shoot a 13 1/2" stock and wanted a decellerator. You have to finish inletting the barrel recoil lug. My stock is fully glassed and barrel has been cut to 21" and N.E.C.G. universal screw on front ramp has been added that gives elevation in the ramp. Bolt handle has been straightened and barrel band front swivel added. Gun shoots into an inch all day. I don't need more in a heavy bolt gun. SCI Life Member NRA Patron Life Member DRSS

FN in Montana, I bought a CZ barrelled action in .416 Rigby and then bought a MacMillan drop-in stock. It was the least expensive option for me here in France. I have no workmanship problems with either the barreled action or the stock. Here is a link to a previous thread on that. https://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/4711043/m/954104893 _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

I put one of Brockmans stocks on my 416 Rigby CZ and had the bbl cut back to 22 inches, a new Talley bolt handle and Wisner safety put on it and absolutely loved it. I gave it to my son and am having Jim put another of his stocks on my 505 Gibbs (on a Bauska action rather than the CZ) I have used McMillan and MPI stocks in the past and think the Brockman is the best way to go IMO. Gentleman, Thanks for the info and the link. My idea on the CZ is it's a starting point for a great rifle. I especially enjoyed Mr. Shoemakers comments. As I was thinking about him while I was watching the Discovery Channel program on Treadwell. When I think of big bears in AK I automatically think of Phil Shoemaker.
