Perhaps Hornady entering into the nitro express cartridge business will force Federal and Norma to get real with their pricing or fold up their tent.
I understand Hornady is going to offer Brass, Projectiles and load data for all their production Nitro Express offerings.
Good for all of us who own one with these classics.

Yes they are! The Hornady brass and bullets that I have seen (450/400) has been very good quality and the price is most reasonable!

Midway is showing a price of $109.99 for 470 and $114.99 for 500NE. They don’t show to have it but one of the guys at the Hornady booth at the DSC show said they should be shipping. That does sound good for big bore shooters.

The guy I spoke with at DSC from Hornady said it would be April or May before the 470' hit the shelf. Last time I looked Federal 470 was over $300.00 / Box which is rediculous.

Hornaday is doing us all a favor, I just found once fired .450-400 Hornaday brass online, and received it via US mail. I think they may be able to force Norma and Federal to "get real" on their current pricing.

Hornady had boxes marked for both calibers at Reno. They are saying $5-7 a round for loaded stuff.

It sure would be nice, but I doubt it due to the few .577 shooters out there...
