I am one of those weird ones who actually likes the look (more so the fit) of the stock. I would like to have it refinished to a darker color. Any recommendations in the Houston area? The BRNO is not for sale, I love that gun!

My spring is OK. added a barrel band ,a 2.5 Leopold in QD rings. My stock is UGLY,I don't know if I shall rework it or get a different stock. Any suggestions?

I had a custom composite stock in the weatherby configuration added to my cz 550 .416 also had feeding checked and the bolt jewled...did have a 2-7 leupold but since added a 2.5x compact leupold instead.

Safety works fine no need for a 3 pos unless you just want it and have the cash to burn.

Do you have the Hogback or the American? My 550/.375 is the American but I recently picked up a Hogback for it. I love it. It is significantly trimmer through the action and forestock. It makes a much quicker and livlier feeling rifle, lighter also. It does need some cosmetic surgery though.

Mine is the hog back. Ugly, but it fits me well. Only thing is I would like to refinsh/stain it a darker color.
