Is the case/bullet diameter relationship difference here simply an American versus British thing? Seem the English list case then bullet, Americans List bullet then case? Any reason why the difference? Or maybe this goes in the political forum... ;-) | ||

It's just a convention. The Brits also use the diameter of the lands while the U.S. uses the groove diameter. Of course, marketing may dictate cartridge names (.275 Rigby versus 7mm Mauser, 7mm Express versus .280 Remington, et al.). George P.S. The only thing that belongs in the Political Forum are turds.
