One potential problem, the distance from the meplat to the canalure is longer than spec length for the 500 Jeffrey. If you have a longer magazine, no problem. If you have a spec built Jeffrey magazine, you'll have to either cut the canalure in the correct spot, or perhaps get a custom collet crimp die made. I've loaded some up for my 500 Jeffrey, but haven't had a chance to test them yet. I'd imagine that at 2200-2400 fps, they should prove effective on game | ||

Jeff, BTW (By The Way) the classic bullet for the 500 NE is 570gr. and .510 diameter. Also the shape, profile, cannelure position(s) and bearing surface length are different between the two cartridges. Roi | |||
