I've decided to sell my M70 LH CRF 458 Lott, Krieger barrel, and would like to see it go to a young PH. Any suggestions as to how? Also have same in 375 H & H.

Exporting the rifle legally will cost near what it's worth.

I once gave my PH in Zim a .460 Weatherby for at tip. As he was a PH and licensed to carry firearms the importation on his end was quite easy.I'm sure laws have changed on this side of the pond over the years. An exporter, such as Griffin and Howe, can assist you with this.

I did the same for a mate of mine in Namibia.

Valuing the firearm and he paying the duty at Customs was the most troublesome part of the whole deal.

No problems back in Australia with selling the rifle...

I recommend Cherry's Fine Guns in North Carolina. I sold a Paradox gun to a very nice retired airline pilot in Australia and Cherry's did a good job of getting it overseas at a reasonable price.

A Paradox may be classified as a shotgun, which is much easier to export. The State Department issues export approvals for rifles. They are afraid of some of our armament, like 50 BMG rifles, getting into the wrong hands overseas. Same holds true for optics, especially if they have range-finding or night vision capabilities, or almost any electronic feature.

Two firearms exporters.

Borderview International, Seattle, 877-947-4867

Sans-Nom Inc., Tacoma, 253-327-1911

They can ship a firearm overseas. Call and find out what steps must be taken.
