Guys,
I am building a heavy hunting load for my 375H&H around this bullet and 2 preferred powders, H-4350 & Varget. Do any of you have load experience from these specific powders w/ this bullet? I have other powders, but want to concentrate on these extreme powders.

Thanks,
Joe

600 Overkill,

I know you are looking for loads using H4350 and Varget... I would like to suggest using RE15 since you are looking for a heavy hunting load. I doubt you will find another powder able to achieve what you are looking for, that is maximum velocity while still being accurate enough for hunting. I have chronographed loads out of my rifle and get in the 2800 fps range with very good accuracy (inch or so at 100 yards). Best of luck in your search.

I also get the best results with RL15.

2800 fps with a 270gr bullet is an impressive velocity from a 375!

Dr. Duc,

I think that any 375 H&H with a 24 inch tube should get 2800 fps or close to it with a max charge of RE15. I find that the faster I push the TSX, the smaller the groups. I will post pictures of some groups next time I go to the range.

I was not able to safely beat 2750 with RL 15 with regular 270 ge X bullets ....I imagine moly coated TSX would but it would still be max I think But then different barrels are quite different sometimes..........

.If it can,t be grown , its gotta be mined ....

74.0gr RL-15, right at 2,700fps and sub-MOA.

Yup. That's the one. thumb

With 300 gr. TSXs, I like 67 gr. of IMR4064.
