Thanks in advance,

There is a difference between CZ 550 American and CZ 550 Magnum (Lux,Standard, Safari)
I confirm you that CZ rifle 550 American with fixed magazine is chambered in 9.3X62.
For the .375 H&H you need to go with 550 Magnum model.
Regarding the recoil and CZ 550 Mag, I have one 550 Magnum in .458 Win Mag rechambered in
.458 Watts. This model is not the European model (only Standard or Lux model) but US model only in Safari grade (a litlle bit more expensive than EU models). With the Pachmayr Decelerator the recoil of my .458 Watts is no so big than other rubber buttplates. Ask to your dealer to know the availbily of this model. The 550 Safari grade is only for US market if you want it, your dealer need to do special order to CZ headquarters. But let me know smth if this reply is not clear for you.

I just bought a CZ 550 Magnum in 375 H&H. As BER007 stated this cartridge isn't chambered in the other models. I chose the Magnum (straight standard stock) and 375 H&H because it was *built* as a magnum rifle. The 9,3x62 calibre was only available in the ordinary models. I like my new rifle a lot but will do some modifications before using it to hunt with. The stock isn't as "straight" as the American model but has more of a drop but fits me well.
What scope do you have on it?? Just curious as I have had similar problems with other rifles......Have you tried a leather comb raiser??
Pete
The Magnum action has one cross bolt, two position safety ( I would not make too much about this; only for posting ). Its fitting for the Rigby case, so everbody around will tell you anything less is smallbore. Anyway this is a heavy rifle.
I would think very hard about a sleek, long barreled 9.3. As I said, if Ray is absent, somebody has to do it ...
