OK, I'm having no luck with the Barnes 300 grain Banded Solids. The same gun that averages sub MOA for every load that I've tried with the Barnes 300 TSX won't put 3 solids into 2.5" with any powder so far. I've read the posts on solids (even the strings about temporary wound channels and all that crap) and seem to get sidetracked by all kinds of minutae that may or may not be important. So, if you could only shoot one solid in your 375 H&H, what would it be? (I know that I would prefer one that is in stock here in the states and could be delivered in a reasonable timeframe.) I have had good luck with the accuracy of North Fork (www.northforkbullets.com), GS Custom (www.gscustom.co.za) and Bridger (www.custombrassandbullets.com) solids. Like you, I have not had very good accuracy from Barnes bullets either.

When in doubt, go with Woodleighs. They are accurate for me and are the industry std. JPK. Free 500grains

Thanks guys. Will the Woodleighs work alright with the coriolis force above the equator? No problem as long as your barrel has a right hand twist but if you have a left hand twist the bullet will act like a bommarang and you must duck immediatly after shooting or???? 465H&H

Those require the CRF so you can shoot them standing on your head..... Have you tried the 300 gr. Hornady FMJs? I've shot the 250gr. FMJs in my 338 with outstanding accuracy, long and straight penetration. I shot a round into a 36" of oak blocks and the bullet made it 32". Other than the rifling marks it almost looked unfired. John in Oregon

The woodleighs shoot great in my .375. Give them a try.

That's the reason I stopped using Barnes bullets. A few of my friends have given Barnes a second chance and shot the TSX with the same results you have gotten. The legend lives on! I think you'll be happy with the Woodleigh bullets.

Vapo, 465 and Fjold: You guys must bear in mind that bullets made in the Southern Hemisphere cannot be used in the Northern Hemisphere, unless specifically manufactured for that purpose. The opposite is of course also true. To ensure proper performance of bullets destined for the Northern Hemisphere, we run our lathes counter clockwise when we make NH bullets. With swaged bullets, all the presses are mounted on frames hanging from the rafters. and the rolls of lead core are wound counter clockwise as well. It is attention to the small details that count. As far as I know, this is something that NH bulletmakers have not yet figured out.
