Tanoose.375 RUM
I see that the factory ammo is advirtised at 2760 with 300 grain a-frame. I have an article stating that handloaders can get 2950 FPS at over 5800 foot pounds . Is this article correct are you guys getting that kind of velocity from the 375 RUM

The MetalsmithThat be correct buddy. I haven't tried this with the A-frame, however I have gotten these velocities with a Hornady boat-tail spitzer.

With the standard .375 RUM throat I found signs of primer cratering and brass extrusion (ejector slot) at much over 2800 fps with the 300 grainers, or at 2950 fps with the 270 grainers.
I fixed this by giving the .375 RUM a .375 Wby throat.
I still think 2800 fps with 300 grainers or 2950 fps with 270 grainers is more than enough with the .375 RUM, or .375/.404 Jeffery-RUM RIPoff, or even the .375 Lapua RIPoff (AKA 9.5x69mm Tornado), or .375 WBY, the grand old War Horse born in 1944 that can do that too with a 26" barrel and a 3.75" COL/Rigby box using the GSC HV's and FN's.

jeffeossobest then about the 375 RUM cases is that they are perfect for making 416, 458, and 470 AR cases from.

TanooseRIP this article is talking about getting 2950 FPS with the 300 grain bullets. Conley factory ammo is advertised at 2800FPS with the 300 grain bullets

I know. I stop at 2800 fps with any 300 grainer.
2950 fps is .378 Weatherby territory with 300 grainers, IMHO.
