I was just reading an article in American Rifleman about the Kimber 8400 in .375 H & H. According to the article, the rifle is extremely accurate with 300 gr. bullets using a 1 in 24 twist barrel. How is it possible to stabalize the long 300 gr. .375 but Remington using a 1 in 16 twist in the .35 Whelen has problems stabalizing a 250 gr. bullet? Some of you guys who have experience with these larger calibers please enlighten me on this.

Gotta be a misprint. I've seen 1-14", 1-12", and 1-10" twist barrels for .375 H&Hs, but never a 1-24"

It is a misprint.....in the artricle it does state a 1 in 24 twist. In the summary/spec box on page 57 it states the twist as 1 in 12.

Nice looking rifle and apparently very accurate. Not sure it is worth a $1,000 more than the still brand new model 70's floating around out there.

It might be okay, if you do NOT consider that you can buy four CZ550's in 375 for the same $$$.
