I took possession of my M70 Classic 30 06 today. Seems like a nice rifle. I'm starting to collect pieces for my conversion project to 375 H&H.

Has anyone else done such a conversion? Who did you use? Mark Penrod seems to be popular as does Jim Kobe and Dennis Olson.

Jim Kobe is here, and the feedback is uniformly positive. If I did not have a Yoda here, I would be talking to Jim about custom work.

I was in the same position at the 1st of the year. I traded the '06 for a 300wm on this board. The factory parts to get a 375 H&H action is $40.00 & you can switch them out yourself. Then all you need is a barrel.

All those you mentioned would be great choices for you work. The only advantage I can speculate on would be the turn around time from Dennis Olson is usually always one month, no matter what the task is.
