Yeah, I know you all know that. A while back I asked for help with a CZ 550 Safari American. It had two custom barrels, one in 375 H&H and the other in 458 Lott, neither with lugs. The rifle was originally a 375. I installed the Lott barrel, bought a B&C stock, fit the barrel to the stock and bedded the action. As you can imagine it wouldn’t feed to save it’s life. So I sent it to Wayne. I did not realize he did tune up work. I had him fix the feeding, install a three position safety, install his single stage trigger, check my barrel install and bedding, and coat the barreled action. All this took less than a month. I got it back a couple days ago and it feeds and cycles as well as any slicked up M-70 AND looks great! I didn’t think air would ever like a CZ as much as an M-70, but this rifle changed my mind. Can’t wait to start load development.

Wayne is one of the good ones for sure. He has done a number of projects for me. One in the works now, and a couple on deck if I talk him into them! ------------------------------- Some Pictures from Namibia Some Pictures from Zimbabwe An Elephant Story

Wayne does great work, have a 375 that was tuned and upgraded by him. He is also one of the few gunsmiths who will get things back in the time promised. ____________________________ If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today ... 2018 Zimbabwe - Tuskless w/ Nengasha Safaris 2011 Mozambique - Buffalo w/ Mashambanzou Safaris

This is the last rifle Wayne re-worked for me. This rifle started life as an Interamrs Mark X Alaskan .375 H&H. I had it in a McMillan stock for a while but wanted walnut (but not the original Alaskan style stock). The factory sights were not indexed properly and were way off at 25 yards. Wayne put new sights on it, added a barrel band for the front swivel, upgraded to a nice 3-position safety, coated the metal, and restocked it for me. Wayne does an exceptional quality job. He built for me a custom .458WM based off a Ruger Hawkeye. Cannot add nothing but praise. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ColdBore 1.0 - the ballistics/reloading software solution http://www.patagoniaballistics.com

I couldn’t agree more. I have four “Wayne” rifles at the moment, and there will be more eventually. The first rifle he did for me was a full Stage 3 CZ in .550 Mag, and it is absolutely gorgeous. A gun smithing “friend” let me down on this one and ruined a beautiful blank in the process. All I got back was parts. Wayne took on the project and let me select the blank, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The second he did for me was another full Stage 3 CZ, this time in .416 Rigby. It is absolutely amazing also. Again, I got to select the blank from several he felt were ideal, so it’s a very personal rifle and I won’t ever part with it. It balances and points like a shotgun, and the action is as smooth as glass. The trigger is perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing. The third was a rebarrel/re-blue conversion on a .375 H&H Ruger RSM MK II that is now a .470 Capstick. I hated the .375 because it was so barrel heavy, and all of that is changed now with a huge hole in the barrel. At the risk of abusing the word, it’s also amazing. I’ve posted pictures in the past, but... PhotoBucket. :/ The fourth started as an M70 Super Grade stock he was selling on AR and an M70 .300 RUM I also picked up from another member. Off went the barreled action to Wayne and back came the most... amazing... .404 Jeffery. It is so slick and smooth it’s unbelievable. This one looks like a classic working rifle, but so elegant at the same time. One of these days I need to post pictures when I find a replacement for the PhotoBuckets. Lol I had a fifth Wayne rifle, a gorgeous .375 H&H that I picked up off GunBroker. With 5 .375s and no especial affinity for it because it wasn’t built for me and didn’t match the .550 and .416, I let it go to another member for a great price. Do I regret it? Sure, I always regret selling one of my children. Lol. But there will be more... I have a CZ 550 .416 Rigby action that I think is destined to become a .500 Jeffery at some point, and another Ruger RSM MK II in .416 (thanks Biebs!) that is going to be rebarreled at some point to something bigger. Unless it shoots lights out as-is, and then the search continues... I just realized you’re all big bore enablers. Damn you.

As the owner of the 375 that jlabreck sold me I must say it's quite the nice rifle. It sits in the front of the safe and every time I open the door it's like Christmas all over again seeing it sitting there. Shoots pretty good too.

jlabreck, Try imgur.com for a new photo sharing site. I for one would love to see your rifles. Especially the m70 .404 Jeffery. Roger ___________________________ I'm a trophy hunter - until something better comes along. *we band of 45-70ers*

Wayne is awesome - I have had him set up numerous rifles for me. I need to build a 375 ruger full stock in 2018. Also take the half custom 30/06 to full custom with a nice stock. Now if he only worked on blasers I will be set Mike

The value of a strong reputation as seller of goods to the public can't be over stated. This gentleman WAYNE seems to guard his reputation to the utmost, with a mile long list of happy customers. It's like that REPUTATION is a newborn bear cub and he's "Big Momma". Sorry guys, got a little distracted with the delivery of my big bore (6.2L counts as "over 40", right?) Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk after 4 months of waiting. Looks like I have some picture taking to do tonight. I should be able to get pictures up here shortly after I figure out the imgur process. Of the guns, not the Trackhawk. Unless you want to see that too. And yes, Wayne for president!

That's awesome. Did you put a mercury reducer in the stock? Curious what weight it came out to be?

I took a few pictures, but wasn't happy with the way they turned out. Outdoor light this time of year is horrible and any interior lights tend to wash out the grain in the stock with reflected light. Hopefully I'll be able to get some better pictures in the next week.

I had Wayne build me a .375 RUM just because I didn't have one and he was willing to build it on the CZ action. Wonderful rifle... took it to Burkina Faso as a one rifle battery and it did it all from Buffon cob to buffalo! Wayne builds a great rifle at a very fair price!
