Hogue's Overmolded stocks
I have a Ruger 77 MkII in .300 Win. Recently bought a Hogue Overmolded stock. It has the full-length aluminum bedding block, molded in Realtree, recoil pad and sling swivels installed at the factory. For 378 dollars it's EXCELLENT. Has a palm swell on the pistol grip. WONDERFUL. I highly advise everyone with a bolt gun to check these out, you'll not find anything as good within 200 dollars. However, I will have to have the barrel channel enlarged when I re-barrel the gun, not sure how this will pan out. The rifle has a NASTY harmonic vibration when fired, I suspect the factory barrel is for a 30-06 and is too slim and whippy. With the factory wood it sang like Pavarotti at every shot. With the Hogue it doesn't sing anymore but I can still FEEL it.

Any idea how Hogue Overmolded stock with full-length aluminum bedding block compares to the B&C Medalist stock with full-length aluminum bedding block?

I have one with only the pillars on my 400. It handles 400gr at 2250+FPS just fine.

As usual just my $.02

I have one on a med. bore. Just a 338Win. It shoots so soft youd think it was a 243. Its downright cushy. Accurate too DW

Everyone was out of stock when I ordered mine, so I got it from the factory. They make Lefties, too, IIRC
