I'm left handed and I don't. I think that's above my recoil threshhold. A double in 470 NE is fine but that 505's in a whole new class.

BTW, if anyone's interested, Midway had some 505 diameter bullets on closeout at a pretty hefty discount.

I shot this 505 next to a 470 Heym and didnt find either rifles unpleasant to shoot. I dont remember the load Roscoe had rolled up for the 505 nor the make of rifle so Roscoe will have to fill us in when he returns from the pig hunt.

Also, the professional instructor is the legendary N E 450 No2! clap If you havent had to opportunity to meet him you are certainly missing out on a treat!!

Thanks Fjold, I'm getting my CZ rebarreled to 505 Gibbs as we speak. I'll check Midway.

This is one time where controled round feed is mandatory.

When shooting rapid fire, as in a charge, you hang on to the bolt and "press" the trigger with your thumb.

While a Double rifle IS superiour to a bolt rifle for DG, you should know how to use both in a pinch... Even if it is left handed. Wink
