They only have one left and that's it. I bought the 2nd to last one. Out the door with shipping to my ffl for $667.97 I did confirm that these are the newer models with the barrel band. I hope somebody here scrambles and gets that last one because it's a heck of a deal.

Are you saying that Ruger is no longer making the .375 Ruger African? No I called Ruger before I made the buy and asked them the same thing. The customer service rep at Ruger told me they were still in production. I asked the CDNN guy and apparantly they just got a one time buy on them. (edit) but then on Lipseys website it shows the african as being discontinued, so I'm not sure if it is or isn't.

I'll bet it doesn't have the barrel band. The new ones with the barrel band are a different code number and higher priced than the ones without. Let us know. I would buy one if it has the new band. BUTCH C'est Tout Bon (It is all good)

I just picked up the rifle from my local ffl. It does indeed have a barrel band. It also has nice figure for a Ruger. I think this was a steal at just over $650. Now I just need to find a Hogue stock off an Alaskan and have the metal cerakoted or Teflon finish. Then again maybe I'll just leave it the way it is. Honestly I'd rather of gotten the 416 Ruger but they don't make it in the African.
