just curious, but is this a safe way to make a double rifle?

Everyday I beat my own previous record for number of consecutive days I've stayed alive.

Not knowing who or how the welding was done, I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole.

Shotgun conversions to rifle cartridges have blown up many times before. But a lot of them work out fine. It's hard to say which category this one is in.

And the same can be said for "Classic English Double Rifles". As we saw this year, with a 465NE, as I recall.

If it had only been threaded into the block, and not welded, I might be interested. What I would do is, set the barrels back, and chamber them for 577 Snider,or 58 Berdan Musket, and finish it! It would make a good blackpowder double to play with , at that price! Not knowing how it was welded, like Nopride says, ten foot poles and all! Eeker

Mac, nothing wrong with leaving it .577/3", and loading it as a BPE with 650gr cast bullets. Thats what I would do with it, if it were mine.

I think the description says threaded and welded? Wish they hadnt welded on it I would think about it myself. But I cant get the urge for a 303british double out of my blood! Got to start putting the cash away for one. I was going to build one even bought a donor gun cheap it turned out to be a WJ Jeffe in nice shape cant bring myself to cut her up.
